Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of Algonquin Highlands, our idyllic venue is the perfect sanctuary to unwind and let your imagination run wild. Surrounded by lush fall foliage and serene vistas, you'll find the inspiration you seek in every direction.

Get ready to embark on a journey of artistic exploration led by inspirational award winning artist, Marissa Sweet SCA OSA. Spend 3 nights/3 days at a huge 5,500 sq ft. private cottage by the Madawaska River at Algonquin Highlands.

Lots of good opportunities to practice, push yourself and try new techniques.  There will be demonstrations and exercises with the freedom to paint all day.   Critique (show & tell) sessions will enable students to gain different perspectives and discover ways to improve work. Experience nature’s beauty and every changing light of our fall scenery and discover ways to capture these colours in your painting. 

Demonstrations will be in oil, but any other medium is welcomed.

Workshop is limited to 9 maximum to provide ample guidance to each participant.

To reserve your spot, a 50% deposit is required immediately, with balance to be paid on or before August 30th.  (25% of deposit is non-refundable)

Cancellation Policy:  This is an exclusive Art Retreat with limited participants to ensure everyone receives ample guidance and benefit from the workshop.  Because of this, it will be difficult to fill a spot if cancellation is given without prior notice.  

Notice of cancellation must be received before August 5th to obtain 75% refund (minus the 25% administration cost).

75% refund: if cancellation is 60 days before retreat (Before/on Aug.5)
50% refund: if cancellation is 30 days before retreat (Before/on Aug. 30)
